ABOUT THE PROJECT:

We seek to conceptualize and develop partner-based models for corporations and society which demonstrate the principle that helping others is the best way to help one's self. In doing so, we pay special attention to the implementation of non-zero sum (win-win) games in situations where, previously, zero-sum (win-lose) models held sway. The path of our research has led us to consider a broad cross-section of thought sources. This includes religious and spiritual texts from many world traditions, such as the Upanishads, the Bible, the Tao Te Ching, and so on; the study of myths as per the work of Joseph Campbell and Alan Watts; so-called classics of Western civilization up to and including the better-known and lesser-known works of Charles Darwin and Adam Smith; 20th century psycho/social theorists such as Viktor Frankl, Erich Fromm, Carl Jung, and Riane Eisler; and current mainstream authors such as Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle, David Brooks, and our benefactor, William F. Brandt.
